ADHD

Living with ADHD can feel like running three browsers, ten tabs, and two playlists all at once. You start one thing, get inspired by another, and suddenly the day’s gone and you’re wondering where the time went. You want to be focused and organized, but staying on track feels like a moving target. It’s not that you don’t care or aren’t trying, your mind just doesn’t like doing life in straight lines.

ADHD isn’t about being lazy or unfocused. It’s about having a brain that’s wired for curiosity, creativity, and energy, but that same spark can make everyday life feel chaotic. You might forget things, lose motivation halfway through, or feel like you’re constantly behind. And underneath it all, there’s often guilt, frustration, or the feeling that you should be doing better.

ADHD is not a deficit of attention, but a surplus of attention directed in the wrong place.

— Dr. Edward Hallowell

In therapy, we’ll start by untangling all of that. We’ll figure out what’s working against you, what your brain actually needs, and how to build systems that make sense for you. That might mean learning simple focus techniques, finding ways to structure your day that match your natural rhythm, or practicing how to pause before the overwhelm takes over.

You’ll learn how to work with your brain instead of fighting it - to see your creativity and quick thinking as strengths, not flaws. Over time, things begin to click. You feel more capable, more steady, and more in control. Not because you’ve changed who you are, but because you’ve finally learned how to move with the way your mind works.
